I’d like to introduce our team at Manchester United Foundation. This year we are hosting a Summer Dash to help support the Timperly and District Jnr League.
The Summer Dash is a chance to get your players fundraising for your club. So whether it’s new goal posts, the most up to date kit or end of season trophies the Manchester United Foundation’s Summer Dash is about helping your Club beat those rising costs!
The Summer Dash will be held on Sunday 19th July at Manchester United’s Old Trafford, Theatre of Dreams.

with the number of runners, split out by each race and with the £8 per runner registration. All entries must be with us by June 19th.

Get the players/runners to print out a Sponsorship form and start raising money for their team and club.

We will then send race numbers (for participants to attach to their kits on the day of the Dash) back to you to distribute to each runner.
Please note if a runner doesn’t have their number displayed on the day they can’t take part.

Please feel free to forward this email to all your team managers to drum up support from their players. Click here to download and print off the Sponsorship form

This is a simple opportunity for your Club to raise some funds. Others in the League have already come up with great ideas to encourage participation e.g. paying the £8 entrance fee if a player can commit to raising a minimum £20 sponsorship (so ensuring a clear £12 profit per runner for the Club).
The Summer Dash has been pioneered by Brain Fletcher and the Chief Exec at Manchester United Foundation, John Shiels, as a simple way to support grassroots football, so please don’t miss out on this opportunity.

The event will consist of the following:
- There will be an entry fee of £8 per person. This will cover Manchester United Foundation’s costs for admin, race numbers, medals etc. as well as enabling them to make a donation to their chosen charities (click link for more info http://www.mufoundation.org/)
- There will be 4 age groups running – commencing with the under 8’s at 10am.
- Mums, Dads and siblings can run with the under 8’s (only the runner with an official race number will receive a medal etc.)
- Players, Coaches and Managers can run in the Open Age category at 12.15pm.
- The South Stand will be open for spectators (family & friends etc.) and there will be kiosks selling refreshments.
- On arrival players and their families will need to head towards The International Suite at the West Stand end of the stadium (Stretford End). Parking is available in Car Park W2.
- There will be small fairground rides and some Manchester United coaches with football inflatables to add to the entertainment.
As an incentive to take part, the decision was made at a recent meeting that every child who raises £20 or more will have their entry fee of £8 paid for by the Club. Furthermore, the top 3 fundraisers will receive very special prizes.
