4-09-10 Boca Vs Wilmslow Sports Colts

4-09-10 Boca Vs Wilmslow Sports Colts

We couldn’t have asked for a better day to start the season as Under 10's, we had the weather, a full turn from both players and parents.

1st period
Boca set there stall out nice and early with some good quick and accurate passing, that paid off with a early goal 2mins into the 1st period, by Jack who latched onto a pass from Max to make it 1-0. Boca continued with the passing and moving, this in turn created many chances that Boca were unable to convert. When Wilmslow did threaten Alex, Max and Harry were there to fend them off.

2nd Period
With a few changes made Boca were ready to continue where they left off, but Wilmslow were ready this time and pressed hard to get an equalizer. Both Alex and Liam were ready for the task and when Wilmslow did breakthrough Jack was there to keep them out. As hard as both teams tried neither could score and the 2nd period finished how it started 1-0.

3rd Period
With Boca looking to get there 1st 3 points of the season, the lads were ready for the whistle to start the 3rd period. Both teams battled hard for 7mins till Matty broke down the left side and had a shot just inside Wilmslows box for their goalkeeper to parry straight to Liam to make it 2-0!! With this Wilmslow confidence was delt a blow and Boca moved in for the kill. With a quick 1-2 between Jack and Matty, Matty found himself in Wilmslows box to power home a shot 3-0!!
The 4th goal was a superb solo effort through the middle of the pitch to make it 4-0 and the boys kept it up the effort till the final whistle.

Coaches Comment
You've set the bar here gents, if you ALL work this hard and put this much effort in we'll be there come the end of the season. We very impress with the start gents every single player work hard as each other, well done!!

Player of the week: Boca parents couldn’t decide this week as this was a team performance.
